Day 1: Arrival

Day 2-6: Volunteering

• Daily routine at Cayo Dental, including observing dental procedures, assisting with patient care, and participating in community outreaches
• Lunch breaks and evening social events with fellow volunteers

Day 7: Exploration

• Day trip to explore the city of Kandy, including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth, the botanical gardens, and the Kandy market
• Farewell dinner with fellow volunteers and Cayo Dental staff

Day 1:

Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. Transfer to Kandy and settle into your accommodations with a host family or at the Cayo Dental location. Meet with Cayo Dental staff and other volunteers to discuss the program and schedule.

Day 2-5:

Begin your volunteering program at Cayo Dental. Observe dental staff at work in the clinic and assist with tasks as needed. Participate in community outreaches and learn about the local healthcare system. Attend workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Day 6:

Take a break from volunteering and explore the city of Kandy. Visit the Temple of the Tooth, walk around Kandy Lake, and shop for souvenirs at the local markets.

Day 7-8:

Resume your volunteering program at Cayo Dental. Gain more hands-on experience in dental procedures and patient care. Learn about the latest dental technologies and techniques.

Day 9:

Take a day trip to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Climb to the top of the fortress and admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Day 10-11:

Continue your volunteering program at Cayo Dental. Attend research activities at the Cayo Dental Research Center to gain valuable research experience.

Day 12:

Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya, just outside Kandy. Explore the extensive gardens and see a wide variety of plant species, including orchids and palm trees.

Day 13-14:

Wrap up your volunteering program at Cayo Dental. Attend a farewell dinner with your host family, Cayo Dental staff, and fellow volunteers to celebrate the end of your program. Depart for the airport on the final day.

• Cultural activities, such as a visit to a local temple or museum
• Free time to explore Kandy and its surroundings

Week 3:

• 5 days of volunteering at Cayo Dental (Monday-Friday)
• Accommodation with a host family or at a Cayo Dental location
• 3 meals per day using local, fresh ingredients
• Daily transportation to and from Cayo Dental
• Internet access and laundry services (additional fee)
• Community outreach activities, such as providing dental care to underserved populations
• Evening social events with other volunteers and staff

Week 4:

• 5 days of volunteering at Cayo Dental (Monday-Friday)
• Accommodation with a host family or at a Cayo Dental location
• 3 meals per day using local, fresh ingredients
• Daily transportation to and from Cayo Dental
• Internet access and laundry services (additional fee)
• Optional weekend excursions, such as a visit to the beaches of southern Sri Lanka or a hike in the hill country
• Farewell dinner with other volunteers and staff

Final day:

• Airport drop-off and departure.

Week 5-6:

• 6 days of volunteering at Cayo Dental (Monday-Friday)
• Weekend trip to the cultural city of Galle, including transportation, accommodations, and guided tour
• Cooking class to learn Sri Lankan cuisine
• Dance or music classes twice a week
• Community outreach programs on Saturdays

Week 7-8:

• 6 days of volunteering at Cayo Dental (Monday-Friday)
• Weekend trip to Yala National Park, including transportation, accommodations, and guided tour
• Workshops on environmental conservation
• Sports activities twice a week
• Community outreach programs on Saturdays

Week 9-10:

• 6 days of volunteering at Cayo Dental (Monday-Friday)
• Weekend trip to the beautiful hill station of Ella, including transportation, accommodations, and guided tour
• Workshop on sustainability and responsible tourism
• Art or craft classes twice a week
• Community outreach programs on Saturdays

Week 11-12:

• 6 days of volunteering at Cayo Dental (Monday-Friday)
• Weekend trip to the picturesque beach town of Mirissa, including transportation, accommodations, and guided tour
• Workshop on rural development and community empowerment
• Hiking or trekking activities twice a week
• Community outreach programs on Saturdays

Week 13-14:

• 6 days of volunteering at Cayo Dental (Monday-Friday)
• Weekend trip to the scenic tea country of Nuwara Eliya, including transportation, accommodations, and guided tour
• Workshop on entrepreneurship and business development
• Photography or videography classes twice a week
• Community outreach programs on Saturdays

Week 15:

• Farewell dinner with host family and fellow volunteers
• Airport drop-off
